This luxury hotel is located on Australia's glitzy Gold Coast so that surely that qualifies it for our Gold Top Ten.  Of course there is also plenty of gold and bling on show. What else would you expect from the House of Versace? 

Everything has been designed by Versace and the signature style and Medusa emblems can be spotted throughout. Versace doesn't know the meaning of 'less is more' glitz but amazingly the hotel is always tasteful.

This is the first foray into luxury hotels by Donatella Versace and the group are developing 15 Palazzo Versace hotels and resorts worldwide over the next 30 years. Versace started the trend of Haute Couture hotels with fashion houses ranging from Bulgari to Vera Wang now in the luxury hotel industry.
